One time I was working in the Chicago area and after work I went to explore Gary Screw & Bolt with a friend and we kept hearing a dog off in the distance.

At first we thought it might be a drug operation and that was a guard dog but it turned out to be a local dog that had fallen into a pit and was stuck!

We rescued the dog and took him to a local vet who scanned his chip and was returned to his owner later that night.

That aside, the location has parts that are full of donated clothes due to the corruption presided over by the Gary Urban Enterprise Association.
