About the Mirador Sanatorium Carlos Durán

I was visiting my mother, who lives in Costa Rica, and I came across this beautiful semi-abandoned sanatorium, not too far outside of San Jose.

Built in the early 1900’s by Dr Carlos Durán, the sanatorium was originally intended for Tuberculosis patients, but it ended up treating patients with Consumption.
